Year 31 RARE AmeriCorps Program Group Shot

The mission of the Resource Assistance for Rural Environments (RARE) Program is to increase the capacity of rural communities to improve their economic, social, and environmental conditions, through the assistance of trained graduate-level members who live and work in communities for 11 months.

You might have seen AmeriCorps in the news recently regarding cuts to the AmeriCorps agency at the federal level. While this has been surprising given the bipartisan support that AmeriCorps has received over the past 30+ years, the RARE AmeriCorps Program’s operations are continuing as normal.
